In my last post titled “Power” I spoke about how it’s okay to go through hard times and go through
emotions you may not understand. I also spoke about how even though it is okay to go through those
emotions you should not stay down for too long because at the end of the day this is your life and
only you have the power to change it.
In this post titled “The Emotions” I wanted to reassure you all that it is 100 percent okay to go
through the emotions of depression, anxiety, confusion, or whatever your feeling. Whatever you are
feeling is valid. Going through the process of sorting your emotions can seem never ending but trust
me one day you’ll get there. Sometimes the toughest part of going through that process is we get mad
at ourselves for feeling angry or feeling sad in the first place. You could be mad at yourself because
maybe what you are going through was never that serious to you and now it’s bothering you so now
you feel weak and you feel vulnerable. Maybe you’re just tired of being angry and sad and you
want that bothered feeling to go away. I know for me, the main reason I tend to get mad at myself
is because 90% of the time I know exactly what I could be doing to make myself or the situation
better, but I’m just so deep in my feelings that I don’t have that motivation to make the change.
But the truth is it’s 100% okay to go through those different parts of sorting your emotions because
if you don’t acknowledge how something made you feel then how can you learn from it? How can
you make sure the same thing doesn’t happen again? Or the same situation doesn’t effect you the same
way again? So don’t be upset with yourself because of how you feel because going through this
process will only make you stronger in the end.
