My first experience at Curl Fest was definitely a lot of fun. There were some minor adjustments that
could’ve been made to the event to make it flow smoother, but overall it was fun-filled with creative
energy and black girl magic. Everyone’s curls and outfits were on point as well; the vibes were just
amazing the whole time. BUT I did wish the sun would’ve came out.
As far as vendors go, WOW, my people are extremely talented. I purchased a t-shirt from The Carter
Brand. There was no doubt in my mind I just had to get this shirt lol.

I also purchased a mug and a print from Zinzani Studios. There were a lot of other cool vendors
there too selling incense, stones, jewelry, etc. Because I had a silver ticket I received 15% off at all
the vendors. As far as hair brands go everyone was there. Creme of Nature, Mielle Organics, Shea
Moisture, Carol’s Daughter and lots of others. Most of the hair booths were giving away free
samples, some, like Mielle Organics, were having a sale, and mostly all were giving away free tote
bags. The lines were incredibly long so I couldn’t get to all of them but I was still happy with
everything I got.

A mug I purchased for my mom |
I also did receive a Curl Fest tote, blanket and water cup upon arrival since I had a silver ticket.
Overall Curl Fest was a great experience and I’ll be getting there early next year to avoid long lines
and maximize my time there before it gets crazy crowded.
